"My name is Luke, a ninth grade studying in Hebei province. Towards the end of 7th grade, I started to get bullied. The nightmare experience continued for around half a year until I transferred to a different school to finally end it. I was bullied because I dressed differently from others, which they labeled as effeminate and questioned my sexuality. They excluded me from others and verbally attacked me, saying that I wouldn’t be able to get into a relationship. It wasn't limited to verbal attacks, though; they physically assaulted me when I went to the bathroom, kicking me in private areas. The worst instance was when they pinned me down on a bed and tried to undress me, claiming they wanted to perform a physical examination on me. After this horrifying experience, I was diagnosed with PTSD and hospitalized for some time. I would have panic attacks whenever I entered the school, so my mother arranged for me to transfer schools, which allowed me to recover.
Regarding the phenomenon of bullying in schools, I hope those who are still suffering can soon overcome the trauma of the past. If communication fails, legal action is always an option; the law will hold bullies accountable for their actions and words.”
